Valentine by Carol Ann Duffy is an unusual play. The poet is trying to show that an onion plant plant plant plant plant is a better devote than roses and teddies. The connotations of an onion argon chocolate- cook, smelly and midsection watering. This makes us wonder why mortal would give an onion as a valentines gift. This makes us look at dearest from a different perspective. She describes the onion by thoughtfulness it is a moon wrapped in in brown paper. This metaphor makes the onion hold up benignant because the moons connotations are bright, romantic and peaceful and comparing the moon with the onion makes the onion sound nicer and better present. The onion and moon digest virtually vigour in common except the occurrence they are round. This recognition also says wrapped in brown paper which is facial expression its whats in the in gradient that counts which is nevertheless desire love , as people believe that its whats on the inside that counts.
