Today in class we watched a current occurrence clip. The one that caught my eye was the protesting at the funeral of a homosexual soldier. The family sued the commit for protesting and the case ended up making it all the nidus to the Supreme Court, which ruled 8:1 that the church was allowed to because of the jut out amendment in the bill of rights: freedom of speech. Personally I locution into that they have their freedom of speech but I go through it wrong that anyone would want to protest at a funeral. What shocks me the just about is that a church, the people of God, was the one protesting. To me, a person is a person no matter if they ar homosexual or straight. They should have the same rights as everyone else, and should pass the same respect. ripe because they have different sexual attractions does non miserly they should be treated differently.
